It is with regret we announce the death of Margaret Chadd, mother of Christopher Chadd whose memorial stands in the garden at Arundells.

Margaret was very sympathetic towards the Morning Cloud bow section project and she, and her family, wholly supported the memorial to her son Christopher and fellow crewman, Nigel Cumming, erected beside the bow section of MC3 in the Dell at Arundells on 15th May 2015.

Margaret continued to visit Arundells in memory of a deep friendship she and her husband George, had with Edward Heath, who had been their Best Man at their wedding.

A great woman with much character and charm who gave much to charitable causes, she will be greatly missed by her family and all that knew her.
